The capital of the Kasai Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is Tshikapa. At the meeting of the Tshikapa and Kasai rivers, the city is situated 189 kilometres (117 miles) west of Kananga and 60 kilometres (37 miles) north of the Angolan border.
