Avare is an Android-based "moving map" aviation GPS, A/FD, and EFB app that is free to download and use. The programme uses any internal Android or compatible external GPS receiver to detect location and displays location, heading, speed, distance, time, and altitude on free U.S. FAA IFR or VFR aviation charts, as well as on some topographic charts, in real-time. ADSB-In, 3D, and other sophisticated features are included. Once data has been downloaded on the device, the user can view all pertinent static current FAA official data as well as some non-FAA maps and data while in flight without a data connection. Avare can display any accessible FAA live ADSB data while in flight using a cheap ADSB-In receiver and an aircraft ADSB-Out transmitter. Avare can also be connected to a flight simulator or autopilot by some sophisticated users.
