Four Corners Moedas

The southwest corner of Colorado, the southeast corner of Utah, the northeastern corner of Arizona, and the northwestern corner of New Mexico make up the region known as The Four Corners in the Southwest of the United States. The Four Corners region is named for the quadripoint where the borders of the four states converge, which is marked by the Four Corners Monument and lies at a latitude and longitude intersection of roughly 37° north and 109° 03', respectively. It is the only place in the US where four states converge. The majority of the Four Corners area is home to several semi-autonomous Native American nations, the largest of which is the Navajo Nation. Other notable tribes in the area include the Hopi, Ute, and Zuni. The Colorado Plateau, which encompasses a greater area, includes the Four Corners region, which is primarily rural, mountainous, and arid. Other popular destinations in Four Corners include Monument Valley, Mesa Verde National Park, Chaco Canyon, Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, and Canyon de Chelly National Monument, in addition to the monument itself. Farmington, New Mexico, has the most inhabitants in the Four Corners area, followed by Durango, Colorado.
