Yonago is a city in the western Tottori Prefecture of Japan, bordering Lake Nakaumi and the Sea of Japan. It is adjacent to Shimane Prefecture and across the lake from its capital of Matsue. It is the second-largest city in the prefecture after Tottori and serves as the commercial hub of the region's west. At 1,100 people per km2 as of October 1, 2017, the city's population density was predicted to be 148,720. There are 132.21 km2 in total.
