On the island of Gozo, Xagra serves as a Maltese administrative division. The Xagra Stone Circle and the Gantija Megalithic Temples, which date back to 3600 BC, make it one of Gozo's ancient settlements. This town is home to natural cave formations such Xerri's Grotto, Ninu's Cave, and Calypso's Cave, which has a view of Ramla's red sand beach. With 4,129 residents as of January 2019, it is one of the biggest towns in Gozo and is located to the north-east of Victoria, the island's capital. Xagħra is a popular tourist attraction, in view of its historical heritage, lively Victory Square, and the thousands who flock to Ramla Bay in summer and to the temples all year round. Xagra had another name during the British era: Casal Caccia.
