South Jordan is a city located 18 miles (29 km) south of Salt Lake City in south central Salt Lake County, Utah, in the United States. The community, which is a part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan region, is situated between the 10,000-foot (3,000 m) Oquirrh Mountains and the 11,000-foot (3,400 m) Wasatch Mountains in the Salt Lake Valley. The Jordan River Parkway, which runs through the city for 3.5 miles (5.6 km), features fishing ponds, pathways, parks, and natural habitats. 37 public parks, the 67-acre (27 ha) Oquirrh Lake, and the Salt Lake County fairgrounds and equestrian park are all situated inside the city. South Jordan had 77,487 residents as of the year 2020.
