San Carlos de Bariloche, more often referred to as Bariloche, is a city in the province of Ro Negro, Argentina. It is located on the southern beaches of Nahuel Huapi Lake in the Andean foothills. The Nahuel Huapi National Park contains it. The city became a significant tourism hub with facilities for skiing, trekking, and mountaineering in the 1930s and 1940s after the installation of vast public works and Alpine-styled buildings. It also has a tonne of eateries, coffee shops, and chocolate stores. According to a 2010 census, there are 108,205 permanent residents in the city. The population is estimated to be 122,700 as per the most recent data from 2015, and 135,704 according to a projection for 2020.
