The population of Kielce, a city in southern Poland, is 193,415 people. It served as the seat of government for Kielce Voivodeship before becoming the capital of the Witokrzyskie Voivodeship in 1999. The city is located in the northern region of the former Polish province of Lesser Poland, in the centre of the Witokrzyskie Mountains, on the banks of the Silnica River.
