Hove 硬币

Along with Brighton, Hove is one of the two major areas that make up the coastal resort city of Brighton and Hove in East Sussex, England. It was once a "small but old fishing village" surrounded by open farmland, but it quickly expanded in the 19th century as a result of Brighton's expansion to the east. By the Victorian era, it had grown into a fully established town with borough status. In the latter half of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, nearby parishes including Aldrington and Hangleton were annexed. In 1974, Hove and the neighbouring urban neighbourhood of Portslade were combined. The Borough of Brighton and Hove was created in 1997 as a result of local government reform, and this unitary authority was given city status in 2000.
