East Palo Alto 硬币

A city in California's San Mateo County is called East Palo Alto. East Palo Alto's population was 30,034 as of the 2020 Census. About midway between San Francisco and San Jose, it is located on the San Francisco Peninsula. The San Francisco Bay is to the north and east, Menlo Park is to the west, and Palo Alto is to the south. The city is located just north of Palo Alto despite being referred to as "East" Palo Alto. East Palo Alto has always been a distinct entity since its formation as an unincorporated town and its incorporation in July 1983, despite being frequently mistakenly believed to be a part of the city of Palo Alto. Palo Alto is in Santa Clara County, yet it is also in San Mateo County. Only San Francisquito Creek and, to a significant extent, the Bayshore Freeway divide the two cities. The 2000 redevelopment initiatives and the influx of high-earning high-tech workers into new communities, particularly those working for Google and Facebook, have started to reduce the cultural and economic disparities between the two cities. Both the postal ZIP codes and telephone area codes for East Palo Alto and Palo Alto are the same.
