Chiclana de la Frontera 硬币

In the province of Cádiz, Andaluca, southwest of the Gulf of Cádiz, is Chiclana de la Frontera, a town and municipality. It is a member of the group of municipalities known as the Bay of Cadiz, which also includes the provincial capital of Cadiz, Jerez de la Frontera, Rota, San Fernando, El Puerto de Santa Mara, and Puerto Real. Together, these municipalities make up the third-largest metropolitan area in Andalusia and Spain after Seville and Málaga. It lies 20 kilometres southeast of Cadiz and shares a northern boundary with the towns of San Fernando and Puerto Real. The municipality had 11,677 residents in 1877 compared to 81,473 in 2012. Its surface area is 203 km2 (78 sq mi), and its population density is 401 people per km2. The average height above sea level is 11 metres (36 feet). The municipality is well-known for its beaches, including the 6 km (3.7 mi) long Playa de la Barrosa, hotels, and golf courses in the resort of Novo Sancti Petri, and its economy is heavily dependent on modern industry, particularly salt manufacturing and tourism. The municipality has the most hotel rooms per capita on the Costa de la Luz and the Province of Cádiz. On Saturday mornings, Chiclana Información, the local newspaper, is handed out.
